Losing Chelsea Essien 6 Months

LONDON - bad news for you lovers of Chelsea. Midfielder Michael Essien is expected to be sidelined for six months, due to a knee injury suffered by him.

This powerful midfielder suffered the injury while training on Thursday. Practically, the news emerged Ghana midfielder was ruled out for a long time after knee surgery successfully.

"Following a right knee injury in training last week, Michael Essien was forced to perform surgery on Monday (yesterday-red) to repair a ruptured anterior ligament and meniscus. The operation went well and Essien should rest until the next six months," Chelsea said in a statement.

Practically, the injury suffered by Michael Essien upset new coach Andre Villas-Boas. Because the 28-year midfielder is one of the key players for the Blues, who just want to make preparations for the new season.
