The heat wave gripping Greece

ATHENA - The heat wave attacked Greece on Tuesday (19 / 7) with temperatures reaching 41 degrees Celsius in many parts of the country. Thus the statistics of the Greek National Meteorological Agency.

Local people and foreign tourists stormed the beach and look for ways to soothe themselves in the city center. Meanwhile, meteorological officials predicted that the temperature is gradually decreased from Wednesday.

Many experts have advised people, especially in vulnerable groups such as children, pregnant women, the elderly and patients with heart disease and respiratory problems, in order to avoid exposure to sunlight and excessive exercise. They are also advised to consume little meat and lots of water or fruit juice.

Local authorities across Greece have opened up areas that have air conditioning for the general public during heat waves strike.
