Minister of Somalia Freed

Moghadisu: Somali Rebels finally freeing the Minister for Women Affairs Asha Osman Family Aqiil kidnapped. Somalia's government announced the news on Friday (22 / 7). Asha dibebebaskan safely, without the slightest injury. He has returned to his residence.

Asha was released because he expressed no interest in Somalia. He also promised the rebels that he would not take the place of prominence in government.

Asha allegedly kidnapped by Al-Shabaab fighters in the town of Balad, 30 kilometers north of Mogadish [read: the Minister of Somalia Kidnapped]. The group did not comment on the kidnapping of the minister of Somalia but this group is so far known to target senior government officials in the past.

Somali Prime Minister Ali Mohamed Abdiweli on Wednesday announced its new 18 member cabinet composed largely of technocrats who have not known in Somali politics. Somalia's parliament is expected to choose the cabinet in the coming days. Somalia's new government is expected to face major challenges as a country suffering from drought and famine.
