Libyan opposition Ask for Help to Spain

Benghazi - Libya Opposition plans to ask for financial assistance to Spain for the development of Libya's Moammar Gaddafi Libyan leader while still in power.

Jibril Mahmoud Libyan opposition officials urged the Spanish oil company Repsol YPF and other companies to operate in Libya, Gaddafi using frozen assets in Spain as a guarantee of project finance.

When Spain and other countries fail to provide assistance, public confidence in the Transitional Council of Libya to Libya (Libyan opposition) will fade. Similarly, as reported by IANS on Friday (07/22/2011).

Spanish Foreign Minister Trinidad Jimenez said the Spanish consider all possibilities for using asset Kadhafi to be loaned to the National Transition Council, or as an investment in territory controlled by the opposition.

Jimenez is currently looking for a way to get access to the Libyan opposition in the use of assets frozen Gaddafi without violating UN sanctions.

Meanwhile, other countries including France, Italy, Qatar and United Arab Emirates will provide loan funds to the Libyan opposition, they have also stated that the National Transitional Council is a legitimate representation for the people of Libya.
