Ambrosini: In Europe, Barca still King!

MILAN - AC Milan's stake in next season's lofty target to win the European Champions League. Rossoneri midfielder and captain Massimo Ambrosini claimed his team had to fight extra hard to realize those targets.

Having successfully won the Scudetto trophy this season, club owner Silvio Berlusconi's Milan hopes his team can come back victorious at the European stage, with Milan last won the 2006/2007 season. To realize his desire, this Italian Prime Minister also promised to bring in new players to strengthen his squad qualified for the challenging rigors of European competition.

Ambrosini himself believes, with the current Milan squad has the quality to compete with all the contestants on the European stage next season. Only one team which he said, have a class above the Milan, the champion of this season's Champions League, Barcelona.

"In Europe, I think the current Milan can compete with any club, except for Barcelona because they are three levels of quality above all the contestants," Ambrosini said as quoted by Football-Italy, on Monday (6/20/2011).

"However, it does not mean we can not set a target of champions in the Champions League, because this is a competition where anything can happen," he continued believes Milan still have a chance to win.

Turning to the problem of movement of Milan in the transfer market this summer, Ambrosini claimed not to know too much. Especially about Mr.X who is now so crowded Italian media conversation. Known, Milan are still hiding incarannya player and only revealing characteristic, namely a position as a left midfielder and has a size 42 shoe.

"I read a variety of names in the newspapers, but I also can not guess it the Mr.X. Apart from that, I can also play at left midfield position, "he concluded as he declared his readiness to the task as a left midfielder when trusted coach Massimiliano Allegri.
