Fantastic, Potential World Zakat Rp 6,000 Trillion

JAKARTA - World Zakat Forum (WZF) aka Forum World of Zakat in the International Zakat Conference, held at IPB International Convention Center (IICC), Baranangsiang, Bogor City, Monday, zakat potential launch of the world, reaching Rp6.000 trillion. "The potential is fantastic charity world. The numbers are estimated at Rp 6000 trillion," said Chairman of the Local Organizing Committee International Zakat Conference WZF, Lukman M. Baga, M.A. Ec, told AFP on Tuesday in Bogor.
Lukman M. Baga promoted, the potential of Rp 6,000 trillion is based on the count of potential charity of their respective Muslim countries spread across the globe. "The number of potential zakat extraordinary world. If this potential can be developed optimally, zakat Dapa yan overcome the problems faced by the Islamic world," said Lukman M. Baga.
He said the biggest problem facing the Islamic world today is still high unemployment, ignorance and poverty. Almost every Muslim country to face such problems. "If the charity can be assembled and managed optimally, exceptional added value in tackling social problems facing the Islamic world," said Lukman, who is also professor of the Faculty of Economics and Management (FEM), Bogor Agricultural University (IPB).
The amount of potential Muslim charity that has not been well explored, encouraging institutions of zakat from various countries agreed on the formation of Zakat World Forum (WZF) in September 2010 in Yogyakarta. WZF meeting in Yogyakarta in 2010 followed by the initiated the International Conference on Zakat in IICC Bogor on Tuesday-Thursday.
Outcomes expected from implementation of the International Zakat Conference, said Lukman, the realization of elaborate studies regarding the collection and management of zakat productively to improve the welfare of Muslims.
