Portuguese is the champion of the League of Portugal and also the Europa League last season. The team is now dibesut by Victor Perira it will face Barcelona, Champions League winners, at Stade Louis II in Monaco, France, 26 August.
Rodriguez, who last season's impressive show with Porto, is confident the team nicknamed The Dragons have the same ability to Barcelona. He is optimistic that Porto can win the European Super Cup title.
"We will play as usual. This will be a very tough match. But, if we can play with intelligent, then I believe Porto could win," said Rodriguez reported by Goal, Tuesday (07/12/2011).
Rodriguez can not follow Porto's pre-season tour which will take place in Germany next Wednesday. The young midfielder must strengthen his country dipentas Colombia World Cup U-20. But, Rodriguez admitted was not worried.
"Playing in the National Team while maintaining the rhythm of my game and it's very important. I will not have problems to adapt again and I hope to be back in the best condition," he said.
