Join United's Owen No Regrets

MANCHESTER - Michael Owen does not seem to regret his decision to join Manchester United. Although rarely played as a starter, Owen still feel comfortable and think the situation is better than frequent playing, but in small teams.
 
Owen himself was staying digadang as Britain and the shining jewel when defending Liverpool. In 2004 Owen joined Real Madrid. One season and then move to Newcastle United's Owen and then make a decision by joining United on a free transfer in 2009.
 
"As a footballer you certainly want the best in the world. You want to play at the best club, I was there, and you want to train with the best players with the best coach, I'm doing it, "Owen said as quoted by Goal, Thursday (14/07/2011).
 
"You want to play in the best stadium and the big game and obviously it is close to my life. Many things are positive, only negative thing is the number of matches that I played in last season, "he added.
 
Although criticized for joining the Red Devils, 31-year-old man was unmoved. He received much criticism for being left Newcastle United's relegation and joining the perennial rivals Liverpool in the Premier League, but Owen has its own reasons to the decision.
 
"The choice is to go to small clubs and more playful, but I prefer playing in a big team with all the stuff that comes with that choice. The first season (at United) is very great and there are many crucial moments, scoring in the final trophy (Carling) and against Manchester City, as well as a hat-trick in Wolfsburg, "he explained.
 
Chester-born player is optimistic of his choice and is confident that he still believed by Sir Alex Ferguson in United's squad for next season by revealing, "Last year was not too good, but the manager has told me that I enter into the plan. He (Ferguson) I hope to play more, "he concluded.
