51 Indian Military Involved in Sexual Abuse

NEW DELHI - The Indian army officers to try 12 people and 39 soldiers allegedly involved in sexual harassment cases, when they served as a UN Peacekeeping Force in Congo.

The investigation will take place in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh where the officers and soldiers will be interrogated in connection with the violence and even impregnated a woman in the Congo. Similarly, as reported by The Nation on Friday (07/15/2011).

The investigation was led by a brigadier and two colonels. DNA tests will be carried out against them and the children in Durla visible physical features such as an Indian.

The UN had previously written a letter to the Indian army to conduct further investigation on this case.

Indian military officials immediately follow up because of previous charges related to the case against the Indian army.

Regiment who served in the Congo was withdrawn and returned to the army command headquarters of Western countries.
