Pakistan Information Request Ayman al-Zawahiri to the U.S.

ISLAMABAD - Pakistan requested information associated with the Al Qaeda leader Ayman Al Zawahiri and other al Qaeda commanders to the United States (U.S.).

"We hope the U.S. intelligence will provide information about Ayman al-Zawahiri to us," said the Pakistani military, told AFP on Monday (7/11/2011).

"Pakistan is currently conducted operations against Al Qaeda and other terrorist networks that threaten the security of the state and society," he added.

Previously, U.S. Defense Department has also released a list of the leadership of Al Qaeda into the hunt. They think by killing the commanders of Al Qaeda, the terror will soon be over.

The U.S. also promised to give a prize to anyone who managed to capture the commander of Al Qaeda.

For those who succeed in arresting al-Qaeda leader Ayman Al Zawahiri, the U.S. will award $ 25 million or approximately Rp123 billion.

Meanwhile, the $ 5 million or approximately Rp42 billion will be provided by the U.S. for capturing Anwar Al-Awlaki, Yahya al-Libi Ab, Saif Al Adel and Adnan G El Shukrijumah
