Turkey: Israel Must Apologize!

ANKARA - Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that Turkey and Israel normalization of relations is the impossible happen, unless Israel apologized for his actions in 2010 and then attacked the ship to Gaza Turkish volunteers.

"Normalization of relations of Israel and Turkey was unthinkable, unless Israel submitted an apology and pay compensation to the families of murder as well as revoke the embargo on Gaza," said PM Erdogan, told Reuters on Saturday (09/07/2011).

The Turks had done this many times urged Israel to apologize for his treatment and pay compensation for the killing of pro-Palestinian activists who came from Turkey when Israeli troops attacked the Mavi Marmara.

For now, Israel has agreed to pay compensation to the victims of the killings, but has not been willing to apologize.

Israel also justify the blockade, saying the blockade is an effort to prevent the entry of weapons into Gaza.

Turkey and Israel relations began to wilt during PM Erdogan condemned the Israeli attack on Gaza in 2008, and with the advent of piracy incidents Mavi Marmara Turkish ship, the relationship between the two countries are increasingly strained.
