Al Qaeda's Yemeni Military Hostages 10

SANAA - The group of Al Qaeda militants based in Yemen hostage 10 people Yemeni government troops during fighting in the province of Abyan.



"Al Qaeda announces penyenderaannya over 10 people on Monday night and troops killed hundreds pasukam during a battle," said one government official, quoted by Xinhua (14/06/2011).

The militant group took advantage of the absence of the armed forces because they are focused to cope with large scale demonstration that wants ouster of President Ali Abdullah Saleh.

Al Qaeda also tried to attack the port city of Aden, where al Qaeda began a murder of a senior Yemeni officials.

Battle of the cause as many as 30 thousand people fled from their homes.

Yemen Army also conducted an intensive fight against the militants since two weeks ago.
