U.S. Soldiers Killed in Iraq Back

BAGHDAD - Three U.S. soldiers (U.S.) were reportedly killed in southern Iraq. Deaths of three soldiers can increase the number of U.S. troops killed this month to 15.

Through its official statement, the U.S. military said three soldiers were killed on Wednesday (06/29/2011) yesterday. But the U.S. military refused to provide the identities of the soldiers who were killed.

The U.S. military is still investigating the cause of death psti their soldiers. Total U.S. soldiers killed in Iraq since the 2003 invasion reached 4469 inhabitants. Likewise CBSNews reported on Thursday (06/30/2011).

The violence in Iraq continues to rise, amid a U.S. troop exit plan from the country. A total of 15 soldiers who died this month was the highest since June 2009.

Attacks and bombings since the U.S. forces withdrawn from Iraqi cities by the end of June 2009, raised doubts whether Iraqi security forces capable of protecting the population from attacks by Iraqi militants.

From 1 September 2010, a total of U.S. troops still in Iraq reaches 50,000. This number is shrinking away from an estimated 170,000 in Iraq since three years ago.
