Police Trained to Fight Israeli Palestinian Protesters
JERUSALEM - Hundreds of Israeli police forces following the training to prepare them for huge protests Palestinians in September.
"This is an exercise police to order residents to set and deal with large disturbances," said Police spokesman Mickey Rosenfield, told AFP on Tuesday (14/06/2011).
Palestinians are planning to apply for recognition and UN membership in September. Israeli security authorities worried there will be large scale demonstrations.
According to the newspaper Hareetz, hundreds of police, border guards and special forces also attended the training which lasted three days.
The exercise is done by simulating several scenarios including the possibility for Palestinians to take action in the streets and Israeli police station.
