SANAA - Yemeni forces killed 13 al Qaeda militants and wounding dozens more during a firefight in the province of Abyan, Yemen.
Clashes between government forces and Al Qaeda broke out in Zinijbar, the capital of Abyan province. One of the high leadership of Al Qaeda also reportedly injured in the shootout incident.
Meanwhile, three groups of Al Qaeda also attacked the armed forces who tried to get into Zinijbar. three troops were killed in the attack. Similarly, as reported by Xinhua on Monday (6/20/2011).
The fighting has made approximately 30 thousand residents fled their homes to Aden.
