Manama - from Iraq's Shiite cleric Moqtada Sadr urged Bahrain to forgive two Shiite demonstrators who threatened the death penalty.
"I told the Bahrain government for pardon to the two youths were sentenced to death due to these demonstrations," said Sadrseperti quoted ABNA, on Wednesday (06/15/2011).
Bahrain court previously has determined the death sentence against Ali Hassan al Singace Abdullah and Abdul Aziz Abdullah Ibrahim Hussein.
A total of five others is punishable by life imprisonment.
"This event will sever the relationship of government and the people, should the government close to the people and meet their needs," added Sadr.
The demonstration was started on 14 February, but was extinguished by security forces. Local authorities said that as many as 35 people were killed in this incident.
