Al-Zawahiri is Osama Bin Laden Replace Official
CAIRO - The puzzle about who the replacement for Osama Bin Laden in Al Qaeda terrorist network is fulfilled. Ayman Al-Zawahiri is said to have been appointed as the new leader of Al Qaeda.
The announcement was delivered in a statement posted on a website affiliated with Al Qaeda. Through this announcement, you can bet Al Zawahiri holds the full reins of leadership of Al Qaeda.
Egyptian men will replace Osama bin Laden who was killed in military operations the United States (U.S.) in Pakistan last May 2. Al Zawahiri long as it's known as a confidant of bin Laden. So reported the Associated Press on Thursday (16/06/2011).
The man who will turn 60 years next week, was born of middle class family in Egypt. Most of his family members work as doctors and academics. His grandfather is known as the High Priest of the University of Al Azhar.
The announcement was published today in a website which does have an affiliation with Al Qaeda. Designee Al Zawahiri shows Al Qaeda will continue bergeliat terrorism efforts. Western countries like the U.S. will certainly enhance their security, following this appointment.
