Santo Domingo - Haitian President Michel Martelly already decided and chose Garry Conille UN officials as the new prime minister on Monday (5 / 9). This decision was made after months Martelly not agree with Parliament on the composition of his government.
According to local media reports Haiti Press Network on its website, Martelly announce his choice at a meeting with 58 representatives and call that Conille already meets all the requirements for the position held.
Previously, Martelly expressed keraguanya against Conille on fulfilling the requirements as Prime Minister. Conille reported to have caught the problem of citizenship requirements.
Last week, Conille also denied that his job at the UN was an obstacle to occupy the position offered Martelly. Martelly Conille be the third choice after the opposition-led Parliament does not approve kadidat other candidates, namely the entrepreneur Daniel Gerard Rouzier and jurist Bernard Gousse.
Conille began his career in 1999 as the UN resident coordinator in the United Nations Development Program in Haiti and later moved to Ethiopia. Conille also served as bureau chief of the UN Special Envoy to Haiti after the devastating earthquake on January 12, 2010.
